Our time will be filled with stories from the mission field and encouraging devotionals from East-West leadership and frontline missionaries.

Check-in time at Ocean Reef Club is 4 p.m. Rooms may be ready earlier, but are not guaranteed. East-West has secured a rate of $529 per room per night (plus taxes and resort fees) that you will be able to pay upon arrival to the club.
Please note that check-in for Awaken is in addition to your check-in at the resort. Please check in at our registration table located in Carysfort Foyer anytime between 4-6 p.m. Our first official gathering will be held in the Carysfort Ballroom on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Kurt provides leadership and oversight to all worldwide ministry endeavors in 44 countries in which East-West currently operates and personally leads short-term mission teams to East-West fields.
Kristen Shuler • Executive Vice President of Development/Senior Vice Presidet of Field Leadership, East-West
Kristen provides oversight and strategic direction to East-West’s development, marketing, and communications departments. Previously, she served on the mission field across South America.
East-West Missionaries
We will be joined by a few East-West field staff laboring in the spiritually darkest areas of the world. They will be sharing stories, strategy, vision, and prayer requests for the regions in which they do ministry.
Please plan on booking travel on your own. The nearest airport is Miami Airport (MIA), which is 50 miles away. Other nearby airports include Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL) (71 miles) and Key West (EYW) (90 miles).
You can rent a car to get from MIA to Ocean Reef, or if you prefer you can arrange for transportation by calling Ocean Drive Limousines and Transportation at 305.374.7182. Ocean Drive can arrange for you to have a private car, or you can book with other guests (if available) who will also be traveling to Awaken. The company can also provide return transportation to the airport. Please note that Uber is not an option at Ocean Reef Club and that you do not need a vehicle while on property.

East-West has a block of rooms at the Ocean Reef Club. The room rate is $529 per night. We can reserve a room for you if you can just confirm your arrival and departure date.
Please plan to arrive at Ocean Reef Club in the afternoon of Thursday, February 23. Check-in for your room will begin at 4 p.m., and activities will conclude on Sunday morning, February 26, by 11 a.m.
All our activities are walkable at Ocean Reef Club. The bell desk at the Lobby provides transportation to and from anywhere in the Reef. For those who want to get around a little more and explore, golf carts can be rented.

If you’d like to play golf, rather than reserving your own tee time, please contact Mary Churchman ([email protected] or 972.941.4506) as soon as possible with which day(s) you’d like to play and if you have a preference of which course. Mary will work with the club to reserve and confirm tee times.
If you are interested in joining a group pickleball event, please contact Mary Churchman ([email protected] or 972.941.4506) to join us. There will be pickleball professionals available to teach everyone the rules and basics of the game. All equipment will be provided. You will just need to wear athletic attire and shoes. There is a $17 court fee for participation, which can be charged to your room. Refreshments will be provided.
