Guiding You to the Unreached

East-West has overseas missionary teams living around the world that seek to multiply healthy disciples who multiply healthy churches to the fourth generation and beyond. Our heart is to reach the unreached (especially unengaged unreached people groups) and work toward eventually having them join in this Great Commission work. Whether you are in a season of discerning your calling to the nations or are a seasoned overseas missionary looking for your next assignment, God is doing incredible things around the world through people just like you. We want to come alongside you to learn about your passions, interests, and calling. We can’t wait to learn how the Lord is directing you to be a part of His mission!

Your Path to the Nations

STEP 1: Start Exploring

Whether it’s an overseas internship or a full-time position, we’re here to help you explore the different ways to get involved. After filling out our interest form, one of our missionary mobilizers will reach out to begin the conversation so we can get to know you!

STEP 2: Discern
Your Calling

When you’re ready to take the next step, we’ll get to know you more in-depth through an application, interviews, and assessments. We’ll continue to assess your readiness for cross cultural ministry and discover together if we are a mutual fit for the vision and ministry God is calling you toward.

STEP 3: Discover your assignment

You’ll meet our field teams and find the best ministry placement based on your interests and giftings. We’ll also collaborate with your local church for the opportunity to speak into and affirm your overseas assignment.

STEP 4: Prepare
and get trained

Our field prep team will guide you through an individualized training plan before deployment. You’ll have a coach to walk you through support raising, collaborate with our member care team, and participate in field and security training before deploying.

STEP 5: Launch
Into Mission

You’re ready to launch! Be commissioned into the field, join your new team, and begin the journey of overseas ministry among the unreached.

A Day in the Life

Here’s a picture of what serving overseas could look like.

John and Marissa joined a team serving among Muslims in the Middle East. Together, they run a local gym where they build relationships with locals in hopes of sharing the gospel. They also build relationships with other families in their city who have young children.

Amber teaches English at school in East Asia, where she has the opportunity to pour into the lives of young adults. Outside of class, she invites new friends to conversation clubs and shows them the love of Jesus through truth revealed in Scripture.

Taylor recently moved to a large European city, where thousands of refugees have moved from some of the hardest to reach places in the world. She volunteers at a relief center, partners with a local church, and builds meaningful relationships with refugee women.

Will I need to raise financial support?

Most missionaries who serve with East-West raise their ministry support through churches and individual partnerships. With a biblical perspective, training, and guidance, support raising is a time where God shows up in ways you’ve never experienced before.
