Scripture

“Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat … .” -Judges 14:5-6a, emphasis added

“Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. … ‘You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you.’ … Noah did everything just as God commanded him.” -Genesis 6:9b, 19, 22, emphasis added

“So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David. Samuel then went to Ramah.” -1 Samuel 16:13, emphasis added

“Just then Barak came by in pursuit of Sisera, and Jael went out to meet him. ‘Come,’ she said, ‘I will show you the man you’re looking for.’ So he went in with her, and there lay Sisera with the tent peg through his temple—dead.” -Judges 4:22

“Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, ‘King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.’” -Daniel 3:16-18

“When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.” -Acts 8:39-40, emphasis added

“So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.” -Acts 14:3, emphasis added

“His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after prayer, placed his hands on him and healed him. When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured.” -Acts 28:8-9, emphasis added

“‘And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.’” -Mark 16:17-18

“He said to them: ‘It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’” -Acts 1:7-8, emphasis added

The Power Within

Beloved, I have stated many times over that this is our finest hour. This is what we have been made for. This time. Right here. Right now. No other generation was fit for this assignment. The Bride is being made ready! And “The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng (Psalm 68:11)”! We are arising from the sidelines and the shadows with a fresh anointing. We will be carrying the heart and purposes and plans of God with gritty faith and with His glory put on us and being displayed in us. All those who manifested the power of God and who have gone before us are cheering us on in this hour. Sisters, it’s not time to second guess, doubt, or be dismayed. He will be faithful to fulfill His calling on your life and use every last ash from the fire of your refinement. These days will require faith that only He can give. They will require the dunamis power of God that resides in you by His Spirit. They will require the strategies of Heaven and the tenacity of prayer in the secret place with Jesus. But revival is coming, and you and I will be carriers of it! The lost will be found, and the captive will be set free.

“The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives inside of us (Romans 8:11). When we enter into a saving relationship with Christ, we are given the power to overcome the world (1 John 5:4). If the same spirit of Christ that is in you has overcome the world, then what lie of hell or circumstance of the world can hold that power back? He lives inside of you and you are the generation on the earth that is meant to overcome and take your stand. Do you know who you are? Ask for the Lord’s revelation for your life’s destiny and stand firm in faith. If God is for you, then who can stand against you? (Romans 8:31) This truth helps us to overcome.” -Andy Byrd and Sean Feucht, “Culture of Revival”

The Coming Harvest

I don’t know if I will slay an army with the jawbone of donkey—most likely not. I don’t think I will drive a stake in the head of my enemy physically to deliver a nation. But I can pray for victory and deliverance over people. I can pray for healing for the sick and hearing for the deaf. I can run into the harvest fields to share the love of Jesus with scores of people. How? Because Jesus, our wonder-working God, lives in me and is longing to break me free of my mental limitations of unbelief. He is longing to manifest the power He says lives in me! He is longing to put Himself on display!

If those words stir your heart to faith, just ask Him to do this in you! Position yourself to be consumed and poured out for the sake of the life Christ longs to express through your surrender and worship!

“The Church is moving into a new era. We will soon experience our finest and most productive season of harvesting souls. I believe that we, the body of Christ, will see at least a billion souls saved in the next 10-20 years, perhaps more than have been saved in the last 2,000. Portions of the earth that have been ruled by evil, spiritual giants will be liberated. … [T]here is a holy invasion about to occur, a release of Caleb-hearted, fearless warriors who will thrill at the thought of conquering cities for Christ. We have a distinct role to play in birthing this new era. All that God does on earth is birthed through His intercessors. The praying Church is about to step into its highest authority and its greatest history-writing role.” -Dutch Sheets, “Give Him 15” podcast

We’ve got to ask the Lord to help us to get our minds transformed to be able to believe and to grasp that impossibility is our inheritance! I wanted to list for you moments of God’s power on display throughout Scripture: Samson tearing up a lion, Noah building a massive ark, Jael saving a nation, shepherd David becoming King David, Daniel’s three friends standing firm, Phillip travelling time, Paul and Barnabas performing signs and wonders, and then us. Now, it’s our turn in this line up of God’s power on display through His people. Now it’s our Hebrews 11:40 ellipsis on that Scripture: “… since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.” Our testimonies of faith will fill in the rest of Hebrews 11 for all of eternity! He’s endowed us with power by His Spirit, called us His own, marked and sealed us, and commissioned us to the very ends of the Earth!

“When Jesus and His heart for the lost is our magnificent obsession, we will see heaven invade earth through our bold, faith-filled exploits.” – Andy Byrd and Sean Feucht, “Culture of Revival”

Prayer

Lord, I pray for these ones, these ones who bear Your name, whom the spirit of glory and of God rests upon. I pray for two things: their surrender and their anointing. Lord, would You take them deeper into Your heart that they would walk in their identities and inheritance as daughters. Would You anoint them with power to manifest the goodness of God in their lives. Would You equip them with all that they need to live and breathe and move in faith-filled exploits. We belong to You, and if You can take us to the place where You are all that matters, a dying world will have an encounter with the Living God. Lord, may it be said that we didn’t count our lives more important than knowing Christ and Him crucified! Take every last drop of pain and suffering. And I pray, Jesus, that You would redeem it, and these ones would take back the plunder of the enemy for Your name’s sake! We love You; You are the desire of our hearts! That’s our declaration today, Jesus! Amen.
