What's the 10/40 Window?

More than 3 billion people are considered unreached with the gospel, the vast majority reside in the 10/40 Window, aptly named for its location between 10 and 40 degrees north latitude, stretching across northern and Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and southern Asia.

This is considered the spiritually darkest area of the world. Unfortunately, most of the world’s missionaries aren’t visiting this region. But, we believe God has called us to take the gospel here. Join us on our mission to take the gospel to the spiritually darkest places!

What is East-West doing in this region?

East-West has been working in the 10/40 Window for decades. We know how spiritually dark this region is, but we also see the incredible things God is doing in this area. 

We are currently working in 22 of the 54 nations in the 10/40 Window where we have 39 field workers and thousands of indigenous partners working. 

There are 6,000 remaining unreached people groups in the 10/40 Window. As we continue, we invite you to get involved by learning more about these unreached people groups.

The 10/40 Window and the Great Commission

When considering the Great Commission, where Jesus tells believers to “‘go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19),’” some wonder if we have accomplished the “all nations” part of the commission. After centuries of Christians going around the world to share the gospel, haven’t we gone to all of the nations by now? Does this mean that the Great Commission is coming to an end?

With billions of unreached people living in the 10/40 Window, the Great Commission is far from over.
