The Power of Declaration

Lately, I’ve created a habit of declaring God’s loving kindness for me in the morning when I wake up and at night before I fall asleep. It’s easy to grow numb to the gospel and God’s grace. This is a dangerous place to be spiritually, which is why I’ve decided to encourage myself with this specific passage at the beginning and end of my days.

God is deserving of our praise because His faithfulness and kindness to us is astounding. It’s an encouragement to reflect on who He is through these “declaration bookends.” It really makes a difference in my day!

Father, thank You for giving us bookends of Scripture that remind us of Your loving kindness and faithfulness toward us. Amen.
