The Call to Spiritual Readiness

During our Revival 101 class, my friend Christina shared with us a dream she received from a friend this week. In the dream, the Lord said to the dreamer:

I am coming back, and it’s sooner than you think.

Sisters, I say to you, it’s time to get up! Jesus is coming, and we must be ready for His arrival!

We don’t know how much time we have left, and if it’s sooner than we think, it begs me asking you the question: Are you ready for Christ’s return? We can get so sidetracked in our situations, bondages, plans, expenses, routines, pain, and even euphoria that there’s a possibility we could be sitting down when it’s actually time to stand on our feet. The Lord is longing for his wide-awake Bride to arise!

One of the meanings of “get up” in the original language means to arouse, cause to rise; to arouse from sleep, to awake; to arouse from the sleep of death, to recall the dead to life; to cause to rise from a seat or bed, etc.; to raise up.

I believe that Jesus is standing before us, calling sons and daughters to get up and arise! We have sat as spectators for far too long. Many have prayed for revival, and now we get to combine our prayers with mass evangelism to see this last end-time harvest brought in! We must get up and go! We must get our households and our bodies in order so that we can pivot with the Lord at a moment’s notice.

Responding to Different Circumstances

“Only let us live up to what we have already attained.” -Philippians 3:16

To those who have been battling sickness and disease, it’s time to get up in your spirit and worship Him—the one worthy of worship even in your pain. He may be asking you to take a step of faith and walk out your healing, one step at a time. I do know that regardless of what we face, He is always worthy of our praise and adoration. He has the final word over sickness and the grave!

“Only let us live up to what we have already attained.” -Philippians 3:16

To those who are sitting at the graveside of loved ones, lost dreams, and aborted vision, it’s time to declare to ourselves to get up! We are not bound by the cords of death because we have been given the deliverance of a Savior who paid His life for us to experience resurrection life! Death has been broken and defeated in the life of the believer. So it’s time to prophesy life to things that have died in your heart so they can experience the resurrection life of Christ. Even with loved ones who have gone on to be with Jesus, I fully believe you can fulfill what they were not able to on this side of Heaven. Ask the Lord to hand those callings to you as your inheritance. There are legacies that were not meant to be done and still need to be fulfilled!

“Only let us live up to what we have already attained.” -Philippians 3:16

To those of you sitting in captivity, the Lord says to you to get up! He has declared freedom over you! Your prison of pain is not your palace or refuge! It’s time to follow Him out of that prison cell to your personal victory. This was never His intended destination for you. Nor will it be the place you reside any longer. If He is the promise keeper that He says He is, and He sets the captive free, this is your hour of breaking loose. Every chain must fall off at the name of Jesus.

“Only let us live up to what we have already attained.” -Philippians 3:16

Living in Christ’s Victory

This word is not a word of works but rather a word of invitation to walk in what Christ already provided for you. We live in the spiritual reality of our inheritance in Christ Jesus. That’s the grace of the matter. But may this call to get up soar in your spirit with hope that Jesus is not done, and death and sickness and hopelessness and fear do not have the final word over your life. Your citizenship is in Heaven, and Christ is your life! His work on the cross is finished; you aren’t going to add anything to it by works. But what changes when we live out of Christ in us, the hope of glory, is the freedom to allow Christ to be manifest in us. He lives His glorious life out of our worship and surrender. He gets to make all things new in us, and the broken places become a highway of holiness upon which we walk. It’s not complicated but does take our permission and surrender. He is good and wants to lavish His abundant goodness on you today in all of these things. It’s who He is and what He does!

As you read this, my Arise team is currently in the mountains sharing the gospel in Latin America. Please pray for our protection from the evil one but more importantly for the power and presence of Jesus to be poured out on these people who have not heard the gospel before. Pray that our team is forever changed to live their lives fully for the sake of the gospel. Pray that this unreached people group hears the voice of the Lord to get up and walk in salvation and healing and grace!

I bless you in the name of Jesus to get up and go wherever it is He sends you! Don’t count the cost, but be ready to receive more than your heart could imagine or dream of. It’s the hour the Bride of Christ is arising in victory, awakening in fresh power! That’s you!
