“Prophesy” by Influence Music & Melody Noel

Scripture

“Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.”’ -Mark 11:23 (ESV)

“Then he said to me, “Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord God : Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.” -Ezekiel 37:9-10 (ESV)

“Even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.” -Acts 2:18 (ESV)

A Message for Today

I was sitting with the Lord this morning and had a prophetic word prompted in my heart to speak over the Bride:

My people need their voice back. The enemy has tried to take the voice of My Bride—to muzzle her. But she has to proclaim My life, My light, My words of truth to this devastated world. There will come a grieving for being silent because many will feel they missed their opportunity. They will grieve their own silence. My grace will give them back their voice, and they will speak with even greater resolve and conviction. Boldness will arise in them. My Church will not be silent any longer. She will not just sit back and let life happen. My people are called to change atmospheres, cultures, cities, neighborhoods, generations. I am going to restore her voice! She will no longer bow her knee to fear of man, fear of offending, or fear of rejection. She will speak to culture, and her voice will create life, usher in freedom, and bring deliverance. The voice of the Bride and the Bridegroom will be united. They will speak as one because she will know the word of the Lord! The Bride of Christ will get loud! She will declare life. She will declare deliverance and salvation and declare prison doors to open! She will not be mute any longer!

Understanding Our Times

Did you know that on the Hebrew calendar this is the year of the mouth? Interesting and symbolic that it’s also the year of covering the mouth. But I believe with all of my heart that the Bride of Christ has a voice that needs to speak to darkness, prison doors, spiritually dead and hurting people. We have an opportunity to get bold in intercession before the throne of God, but we also have the words of life inside of us! The Church will not be silenced. The Bride has a love letter and a sword to wield! It’s time, dear sisters, to begin to pray and declare and announce the words of the Lord!

Learning to Hear God’s Voice

I have had several women say to me, “Jules, I just don’t hear the voice of God. How do I speak His heart when I can’t discern His voice?” Beloved, hide His WORD inside of you, and you will hear His voice. This is the beginning place of discerning His voice. If it aligns with what you know about Him, it’s probably His voice. And when He speaks, don’t analyze it to death or you will discredit it. Receive the words, let the Holy Spirit bring the confirmation to your spirit, and open your mouth! God’s words to you will be consistent with His Word. They will never contradict themselves. His voice is the most familiar voice to you because He is the most communicative God! Trust me, He is speaking to you, and He will speak through you. But you must open your mouth.

The Power of Speaking Life

There are things in the natural that need you to speak LIFE! Just like the Lord told Ezekiel, prophesy life to those dead bones. We need to begin to declare life and blessing and healing and victory over ourselves, other people, our work, our marriages, the Bride of Christ, our cities, friends on Facebook, etc. When the angel of the Lord encountered Gideon hiding, what did he declare of him? He called him a “mighty warrior,” who he was in the spirit! He was hiding in fear in a winepress, not the place you’d find a warrior! We have to begin to declare things from God’s perspective—what He sees and what He believes about people and situations. There is power in our spoken words, dear sisters!

A Declaration of Faith

I love this decree that Lana Vawser writes in her book “The Prophetic Voice of God”. Say it out loud with me: “I am an overcomer in Jesus’s name. I am seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. I engage with the Word of God and His promises over my life. I am a mouthpiece who decrees blessing and life and not death. I decree that in my process, right now, that God’s promises over my life are true, no matter what my eyes see. I decree that I trust in God and what He has spoken to me, and I will remain engaged in His Word and what He has spoken to me in Jesus Name.”

Biblical Examples of Speaking Power

In the beginning, the Trinity was hovering over darkness where life had yet to be created, and God spoke things into existence. Jesus looked at the storm and commanded it to be still. Ezekiel called forth an army with his voice. Jesus called Lazarus from death to life with His voice. There is power in our voice when God puts the word of the Lord on your tongue—life is created! So let’s go here together boldly before the throne of grace. It’s time for the Lord to restore your voice, strengthen your faith and your boldness, and pour out His Spirit on you to prophesy (speak the revealed words of God). Here’s a few things that come to mind immediately:

• Take this moment and begin to declare His promises over your marriage.
• Perhaps you are in need of healing. Begin to speak the living Word of God over your health and your body. Get those Scriptures of healing, and speak them to yourself out loud.
• With your voice, call your prodigals home.
• If there’s a storm in your finances, your home, your relationships, your thought life, it’s time to command it to be still. Every spirit must bow at the name of Jesus.
• Are your children wandering, confused, distracted? Begin to declare the name of Jesus over them. What are the promises God has given you regarding your children?
• Will you begin to decree that the Church in America and around the globe is awakening to the true gospel, one ablaze with the glory of God!

A Prayer of Commission

Lord, I pray for those women who have felt like they either lost their voice or have been muzzled. I pray, Jesus, that You would set them free, give them boldness to speak, and freedom from a fear of rejection or a fear of man. I pray that they utter the words of the Lord with great humility and confidence that they hear from You. I pray that the fire of God would touch their tongues and anoint their words to pray Heaven to Earth and to speak life into existence. I pray that their words would be filled with faith and vision, resolve and conviction. Lord, out of Your mercy, move Your people from silence to boldness, by the power of Your Spirit. Thank You for Your counsel, Your Word, Your words by the Spirit, and Your friendship to those who walk with You intimately. Increase our longing for You and a passion to hide Your Word in our hearts. Awaken an army of women to arise in this hour, Lord, who have the word of the Lord on their lips. And assemble us together by Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name! God Almighty declares the word of the gospel with power, and the warring women of Zion deliver its message. Do it, Lord, for Your name’s sake and for Your glory!
