Sowing Seeds of Faith and Reaping the Harvest

Ulan—an East-West national partner—was used to being rejected when he talked about Jesus in his part of the world, but he was determined to continue planting gospel seeds.

And one day, he saw the results of his faithfulness to God’s work.

Sowing Seeds

As he walked into the office of a ministry friend, he was stunned by the woman welcoming him. Her name was Anara, and instantly, his mind raced back to a conversation he’d had with her years ago.

He recounted trying to talk to her about the gospel. As soon as Jesus’ name was mentioned, Anara had erupted in shouts of disagreement. Their exchange ended when she stormed off in disgust. He remembered walking away thinking, “She’s a lost cause.”

But there she was… the warm face greeting visitors of his friend’s ministry.

Anara recognized Ulan and was overjoyed to share her journey to accepting Jesus as her Lord and Savior. It turns out that her initial clash with Ulan—despite her hostility—was the very thing God used to save her.

After they’d met, she couldn’t shake Jesus. Over time, the seed Ulan planted by simply speaking His Name was watered and eventually harvested by other believers in the area.

That day, God allowed Ulan to see that his work as an evangelist was not in vain, spurring him on to continue proclaiming His gospel in this spiritually dark land.
