“My whole life, I believed that Santería was the only true religion. Native to my country in the Caribbean, Santería is a religion that blends African voodoo practices with other ancestral Caribbean beliefs.
A Multiplication Story
The strong spiritual bondage of this hopeless religion held me captive for many years. Living in discontent, my neighbor [an East-West trained evangelist] one day began to share with me about a Man who can offer more hope than any religion in this world. As I intently listened to his words, I surrendered my heart to Jesus and was immediately consumed by a peace like I had never experienced before!
As I learned more about God’s deep love for all people, I began to understand His calling for me to go and share with others about this hope I had found in Jesus. I then started attending [East-West church planting trainings] to learn how to share my new faith with others and how to plant house churches.
With this Bible-based training that I received, I am now traveling great distances to tell the people of my country about the hope and salvation of Jesus and to plant house churches—that God’s Church may be a catalyst for reaching the lost of my country!” –A bold evangelist and church planter in Latin America
East-West aims to plant spiritually healthy, self-sufficient churches that are led by nationals. All over the world, we are equipping spiritually mature national leaders to adequately lead and multiply this type of Christ-centered church.
Our ultimate purpose is to establish churches to engage unreached people groups that have limited or restricted access to the gospel.
We will equip our national church planting partners to carry out intentional training of local church leaders—so that disciples and churches will rapidly multiply!
