Finding Light in the Dark Places

This verse is on repeat in my head. It’s amazing to me how our God knows every hidden, confusing, and scary thing we’ll ever face, and has the power to bring light into those dark places.

I’m reminded in this Christmas season that Jesus did just that—brought light into the darkness of our world.

When I find myself fearful or in a season of chaos, I’m reminded that the darkness I’m confronted with is no match for my God—the Father of lights (James 1:17). The lyrics of Psalm 139 tell us that even darkness is not dark to God (Psalm 139:12). Because of that truth, I am choosing to trust that He is more than capable to meet me in the dark, hidden spaces and shine His light.

Trusting His Light in the Dark

Lord, help us see Your light shining in moments of darkness. Amen.
