When Chris* met Joel* during his short-term trip to Latin America, Joel was suffering from the physical effects of old age and struggled to walk. His wife was a follower of Christ, but Joel’s heart was hardened because of the challenges he’d faced throughout his life.

Praying for Healing

Despite Joel’s hard heart, Chris presented the gospel to him. That day the Holy Spirit softened his heart and Joel received Christ as his Savior.

As Chris and his translator made their way to the door, his translator stopped in his tracks.

“God just told me to pray for his healing. Can I do that?”

The Power of Meeting the Healer

Both Jim and his translator immediately turned and walked back into the home. Together, they laid hands on Joel, asking the Lord to heal his legs. As the pair finished praying, Joel rose from the floor … entirely healed from his ailment!
