Feast of Hope: Using Christmas as a Mode of Evangelism

The Christmas story is polarizing, igniting curiosity in countries bound to spiritual darkness.

Preparing a Feast of Hope

That time of year—more than any other—presents Christ followers around the world with unique opportunities to engage in conversations about Jesus. East-West national partners in South Asia are just a few that are capitalizing on the wonder and intrigue of Christmas by hosting Christmas feasts in villages with deep Hindu beliefs.

Inviting Others to the Feast of Hope

Instead of keeping the celebration of Christ’s birth within the confines of their home, these national partners are inviting believers and nonbelievers to a celebration feast where they will hear the greatest story in history—Jesus’ birth, life, death, and resurrection—with hopes that many will come to trust in Him as their Savior.

Nourishing Through the Feast of Hope

These Christmas feasts sustain attendees with nourishment for the day and offer them a message that can sustain them for eternity.

By hosting these meals for a higher purpose, our national partners are able to inspire new believers in their faith and bring nonbelievers to the table to hear the gospel through this unique outreach opportunity.

Sharing the Feast of Hope

Many new believers in South Asia have never heard the full story of Christ’s birth. While fellowshipping with their community, they are learning more about God’s master plan for their salvation. At the same time, nonbelievers are hearing the depth of God’s love for them for the first time.

Spreading the Feast of Hope

The miraculous birth of Christ is being told, and the story of His life, death, and resurrection is beginning a journey from village to village—impacting thousands of lives with the Hope born on Christmas’ first morning.

“In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it..” –John 1:4-5, ESV

Rejoicing in the Feast of Hope

Every Christmas, villagers throughout South Asia are experiencing Light for the first time… and they rejoice at the proclamation of Christ’s birth in our world and in their hearts.
