How Jesus is the Well of Living Water Without a Bucket

Read John 4:1-14 and Hebrews 11:1.

Sometimes it’s a challenge to have faith that God is moving when we don’t see the tangible evidences of fruit. Like the woman at the well, we question if Jesus can really give living water when there’s no proof of hearts changing from our ministry efforts.

Trusting in Faith

Our natural inclination is to force someone to place their faith in Jesus for a glimpse of measurable success, but these efforts are in vain. At these crossroads, we have to place our faith in the One who promises to give living water even when we don’t have a bucket… remembering “faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

God, give us faith even when we cannot see how You are working. When our vision is impaired, assure us in who You are. Amen.
