East-West Ministries is devoted to leaving a God-glorifying footprint in all the nations, even in the U.S. This commitment includes training stateside interns in various departments to apply their professional skills to a kingdom vision. This summer, we’re excited to welcome new faces to our global team! From their passions and skills to their hobbies and enjoyable pastimes, we are excited to share more about them.

Abby N. – Marketing and Development
Abby studies International Community Development at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma and is graduating this upcoming December. After being a part of seven mission trips, she too has a passion for missions. She hopes to be a part of global ministry in a long-term capacity. Abby enjoys having a blast with her friends and family, playing sand volleyball and participating in competitive games of ping pong.
Brooke S. – Marketing and Development
As a recent spring graduate of Dallas Baptist University with a double major in Communication Theory and English, Brooke is spending her time at East-West exploring the compatibility she may have with nonprofit work. She may spend her free time reading a good book, spending quality time outside or grabbing coffee with some friends. However, this upcoming year, you’ll find her in northern England doing ministry for 11 months!
Lexi H. – Next Generation
Lexi attends Blinn College as a sophomore studying Communication. During her time at East-West, she’s noticed and loves how committed the organization is to training interns with authentic tasks and responsibilities. You may find her exploring photography, writing poetry or spending time with her friends. Lexi also competes in pageants and is currently the Junior Miss South Texas 2018!
Hannah M. – Mobilization
This isn’t Hannah’s first time around the block at East-West! She is passionate about evangelism and spent last summer in Southeast Asia as a Church Planting Catalyst Intern. Hannah is entering her senior year at Southern Methodist University and is double majoring in Psychology and Religious Studies. Some of her favorite pastimes include photography and scouting out the various new restaurants and coffee shops in town!
Hope F. – Business Accelerating Movements
Hope is a sophomore studying Business Management at Dallas Baptist University and is a part of the university’s dance team. Her heart for missions and skillset in business has created a desire to support missionaries behind-the-scenes. Many of her own family members serve as missionaries, giving Hope an inside look at life in missions. You might find her spending her time dancing, babysitting or scrapbooking!
Sam S. – Business Accelerating Movements
Although originally from the Dallas area, Sam attended Purdue University for a bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering. Knowing he had an available summer before attending University of Texas in Austin as an MBA student, Sam decided to spend it at East-West leveraging his business skills for kingdom impact. His favorite hobbies include a variety of sports from snowboarding in the winter to playing soccer with his friends in the summer!
Josie E. – Short-Term Missions
Hailing from McKinney, Texas, Josie is a senior Anthropology student at Oklahoma Baptist University. She has taken two international mission trips and spent one semester studying abroad in Peru! Josie works at a rock climbing facility and spends much time participating there herself. She also enjoys various fiber arts, such as embroidery, crocheting and knitting!
Sabrina G. – Human Resources
Sabrina is from Frisco, Texas and attends the University of Arkansas. This fall she’s starting her sophomore Advertising & Public Relations studies in Fayetteville. So far, she enjoys the interdepartmental connectedness that comes with serving in Human Resources. Sabrina is a lively enneagram Eight! She spends her time exercising, cooking, reading and participating in a Torah Bible Study.
Molly M. – Human Resources
Molly is a senior at Ouachita Baptist University as is a double major in Social Justice and Psychology. She enjoys East-West’s grand vision and learning the inner-workings of a nonprofit. You may find her working at the Rough Riders stadium, enjoying a great game of baseball, helping her little sister with soccer or fishing at the lake with her friends!
Meghana C. – IT
Meghana is entering her senior at University of Texas Dallas as an Information Technology Systems major this fall. She loves the authenticity amongst the staff and the community atmosphere at East-West. During her spare time, Meghana listens to worship music and spends time with family and friends. Her name means a “cloud,” and we think it perfectly fits her kindhearted personality!
Stephen W. – IT
Originally from Clayton, North Carolina, Stephen studies Information Technology through Liberty University’s online program. He has a focus on Network and Data Security with one more year remaining before earning his degree. Stephen’s favorite hobbies include watching the great sport of baseball, playing video games and strumming his guitar. Stephen is married with a baby on the way!
Michelle H. – Business Accelerating Movements
Michelle spent much of her life in Michigan and received her undergraduate in Business. She is currently halfway through her MBA at the University of Texas Dallas. After discovering East-West’s internship opportunities, she decided to put her business skills to use for a global vision this summer. Some of her favorite activities include practicing karate, playing board games and reading an interesting book!
Erin C. – NEXT Generation
Erin recently graduated high school and will be attending Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama this fall! At Samford, she plans to double major in English and Theology. Erin enjoys playing the guitar and piano, cooking and baking, and participating in outdoors activities. Her favorite animal is a pig, which she believes is “cute and underappreciated!”
Jessica H. – ReGathering
Jessica is a sophomore attending University of Arkansas and is majoring in Nursing with a Global Studies minor. Her hope is to one day participate in medical missions! In her spare time, you can find Jessica painting, reading non-fiction biographies, or working at a summer recreational center. But if you ever catch her watching Bob Ross, it’s a guarantee that she will fall asleep before the episode is completed!
