"What makes NEXT dramatically different from most of the mission organizations we have worked with is that they are ferociously committed to raising up kingdom leaders." –Trevor Joy, Executive Pastor, Sending, The Village Church, Flower Mound, TX
Why NEXT Teams
FOCUS ON CHURCH-PLANTING
Your team will help establish local churches through the power of the gospel. Team participants will minister in the community, build relationships with the locals, share the gospel, and immediately connect them to the local church.
EMPHASIS ON LEADERSHIP TRAINING
We provide leadership training before, during, and after our teams. On the field, your team will engage in high-level, proven leadership training each day that equips all participants to be skilled, missional leaders wherever God leads them.
PLANNING AND LOGISTICS
Our experienced staff will take care of all the details. That includes registration, fundraising resources, airfare contracts, travel insurance, on-field logistics, follow-up materials, and more! You can trust us to effectively lead your team if emergencies arise.
We structure our teams for long-term impact. Because we partner with local pastors and churches who have a sustainable church planting strategy, the impact of your team’s service lasts long after your return home.
“Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation ... .”
What Makes NEXT Teams Different
The Catalyst Leadership Experience. One thing that sets us apart is our focus on developing our mission team members into high-impact leaders. We have three leadership tracks–Red, Blue, and Yellow–that we teach on the field on a rotating basis. We begin a new track each June. The Catalyst Leadership Experience covers the “why and what” of God’s mission AND the “how” of being a missional leader. Our training has been adapted and used by permission from the Lead Well and Perspectives on the World Christian Movement.
Each track contains sessions covering three areas:
- Perspectives on God’s mission and our role in it
- Soft skills of leadership (who a leader is)
- Hard skills of leadership (what a leader does)
