Our Missionaries around the world

Rusty Coffee on the mission fieldOur missionaries serve in areas such as Russia and the Caucasus, Central and Southeast Asia, South Asia, East Asia, Europe, North and East Africa, and the Caribbean and Central America. Many of our missionaries who based in the United States work worldwide. Others work in areas of the world that must remain undisclosed.

Many of our missionaries cannot be named on the website due their work in unreached areas of the world. They appreciate your prayers.

Russia and the Caucasus

Brennen and Stephanie Behimer are completing language school and will be training national church planters to establish biblically sound, culturally relevant and reproducing churches among unreached peoples in the former Soviet Union.

Bill & Wanda Diamond are committed to ministry in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. Based in the US, they travel to Georgia to assist The EWMI country coordinator in support of national pastors and evangelical churches. The focus is to facilitate partnerships between US and Georgian Churches and establish a new ministry center in Tbilisi, Georgia.
 

Robert and Ann Fuqua live in Russia, administering East-West’s new focus on post-orphanage ministry, aimed at the development of models of ministry to older orphans.  Website

Alisa HaleAlisa Hale ministers to broken and abused women in Moscow, Russia. 14,000 women die each year from violent domestic abuse and 50,000 children run away from home. Sex abuse is one of the most under-reported crimes in the world, and it is where God longs to meet the broken hearted so He can set the captive free. 

Sharp FamilyTom and Alida Sharp live in Krasnodar, Russia with their son Spencer where they are finishing Language and Culture School. Their ministry includes empowering pastors, training prison psychologists, starting support groups for addicts, alcoholics and their family members and by training Russians to help others in emotional, relational & spiritual growth. Alexei and SvetlanaAlexei and Svetlana Horoshev serve in Russia. Alexei is the director of BLTC in Krasnodar, Russia directing staff who lead church based training of evangelism and establishing churches among many people groups including Muslims. Svetlana coordinates the Social Outreach Ministries of BLTC, which enables members of local churches to minister to the neediest people in their areas.
 

Chuck SwartzChuck Schwarz manages ministry projects in southern Russia and represents East-West in the Biblical Leadership Training Coalition (BLTC) of churches and agencies in the U. S. that provide resources to national churches and agencies engaged in ministries of evangelism, growing churches, and training church leaders in Russia.

Joe and Linda WallJoe and Linda Wall have served with East West Ministries since its beginning and Joe currently serves as the Vice President of International Training and  Director of the Russia Field. Linda is on leadership teams for two women’s ministry initiatives, one in Krasnodar, Russia, and one in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Website


Steve and Natalie DuPuySteve and Natalie DuPuy live and serve in Russia. Steve is contributing to the growth and multiplication of Russian churches by mentoring national and regional Christian leaders in the areas of leadership development, team building and financial self-sufficiency. Natalie coordinates relationships between national church planters and US prayer partners. 

 

 

Central Asia and Southeast Asia

Linda BuckleyLinda Buckley is the Director of Operations in Central Asia and oversees aspects of human resource development, budget and financial management, reception and guest care. She provides mentoring and family relationships for students within our training programs and other believers in the young church of Central Asia. 

Goulet FamilyMichael and Rebecca Goulet work at the Central Asian Leadership Training Center. Mike is the director of the Turkic language church planting and well as the director of the church support department. In both of these roles we seek to serve the church of Central Asia by providing for them various types of training and support.

East Asia

Mike and Kathy FisherMike and Kathy Fisher train pastors, church planters and pastors’ wives out of the passion to begin a church planting movement in Southeast Asia.  As a Field Director and Assistant Field Director, Mike and Kathy work together with a quality team of national leaders making vital contributions to training, evangelism and mercy ministries in order to plant more churches.   Website 


Ann and Bob LivesayBob and Ann Livesay serve the Lord in Southeast Asia, training pastors, church-planters and their wives.  Bob is the Cambodia Field Director.  Bob and Ann also teach together in East West Training settings on Marriage and Parenting.
Mau FamilyCamroeun Mau wants his people to have the chance to be saved as the Lord has saved him. He desires the people in his homeland, Cambodia, to come to salvation. His ministry includes building leadership training and church planting

Gene and Dawn WhitehurstGene and Dawn Whitehurst serve in South East Asia in leadership training, prison ministry, literature printing and distribution, Bible distribution, and orphanage ministry. Their work includes ministering, training and supporting 35 full time nationals.


South Asia

David and Maureen SlottjeDavid and Maureen Slottje are living and teaching in Siliguri, India, January through March, and then again from July through September. David serves as the South India Director. Together they help train leaders, pastors, and church workers in India and other neighboring countries. Website

Terry and Kay SpinelliTerry and Kay Spinelli - Terry and Kay serve as the India Field Co-directors.They give leadership to the national staff and ministry partners as they work together to share the gospel, equip believers and plant reproducing churches in a part of the world where less than 3% of the population have any knowledge of saving faith in Jesus Christ. 

Rajesh and Alice SebastianRajesh and Alice Sebastian and their two children returned to India after obtaining his masters at DallasT heological Seminary. The ministry cares for 80 children in 4 orphanages and provides training and support to more than 50 church planters who are serving in the Hindi belt of India.

 

 


Europe, North and East Africa

Anita GonzalezAnita Gonzalez ministers in Albania by mentoring women at the Center for Christian Leadership in Tirana, Albania.

Jamison Family The Jamisons work in East Africa offering relief to those who are struggling, especially widows and orphans through assistance and the ALIM Education Fund.   
Chris and Beth MatthewsChris and Beth Matthews serve in southern Spain to evangelize and to equip Spanish people to establish grace oriented churches among the unreached people in the southern Mediterranean region.

Neathery FamilyJim Neathery is the stateside director for the Center for Christian Leadership in Tirana, Albania. In addition he teaches at the CCL several times a year and does research for Albanian development.

GaryGary Glahn serves as the Assistant Field Director for East Africa to provide support to indigenous tribal leaders who are working in remote parts of Kenya. Projects include humanitarian works, orphan homes and schools; education and financial assistance to widows and older orphans; and Bible training.


Fanka FamilyPaul Fanka currently serves as the Senior Pastor of the African Baptist church of North Dallas, and East-West Ministries Director for West Africa. His heartbeat is reaching people with the Good News of Salvation and coaching God’s people to do the work of ministry.


The Caribbean and Central America

Valcin FamilyGersan and Betty Valcin along with their children live in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Gersan serves as the Senior Pastor of the Evangelical Community Church of Haiti, and East-West Ministries Field leader. His vision is to see nationally led church planting movement through mentoring, training and encouraging national pastors to plant grace oriented churches.


Sergio MatassaSergio and Beth Matassa are bringing the entirety of the Gospel to the indigenous peoples of Chiapas, Mexico. They do this through evangelism, discipleship, pastoral leadership development, health assistance and economic development. Their goal is a self sustaining church multiplication movement. Website

Adams FamilyJohn Adams is the Director of Institute for Emerging Itinerant Evangelists which focuses on further equipping active itinerant evangelists for better service during their evangelistic outreaches.

Doug and Karen BrownDoug and Karen Brown are regional representatives expanding the Ohio area’s awareness of the work East-West is doing around the world, and in particular, in East Asia. They will be developing church partnerships and teams for short term mission trip. 

Meg BrownMeg Brown is serving in the area of Missionary Care, maintaining contact with missionaries and staff overseas by phone. email and care packages.

Rusty Coffee

Rusty Coffee gave up the business world to pursue missions full-time. Since that time he has travelled to Cuba, Haiti, and now the Philippines to preach and and teach God's Word. When in Texas he teaces the Bible in local Texas prisons, discipling men to be sincere followers of Christ. 

Cy CozartCy Cozart is an evangelism team member filling in as needed on orphanage and evangelism ministry campaigns.

Rich and Becky MilneRich and Becky Milne serve East-West Ministries by organizing prayer for the East-West's world-wide work, by training national pastors and other leaders, and visualizing the results of that ministry through photography. Website

Greenstreet FamilyBrad Greenstreet's ministry is to empower national pastors as their advocate, teacher, and mentor. He links national pastors to U.S. resources, trains them in skills and content, and is a mentor encouraging them. His focus is in Russia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.

Gail HilenbrandGail Hildenbrand is a short-term mission leader/coordinator based in Portland who takes teams into Russia to evangelize and equip nationals to establish grace-oriented churches. Website
Wade MitchellWade Mitchell provides leadership and training to short term mission teams going into Russia. He promote our ministry stateside to prospective churches who are interested in sister church partnerships. Website

Kelly SheaKelly Shea coordinates short term mission trips all over the world helping to mobilize churches to get involved in a greater way with the global church and helping to ignite passion in people for evangelism and ministry. 

Burge FamilyJohn and Jenny Burdge along with their children, Arian, Aden, Alec, and Audrey are based in Denton, Texas where their ministry takes John to restricted access countries to prepare church planters, evangelist and leaders to establish grace oriented churches. John also works with Business as Missions in these countries.

Bob and Veneta WestBob and Veneta West - Bob serves as the EWMI Vice-President of Evangelism with the overall responsibility of evangelism in the countries in which God ministers through EWMI. Veneta assists Bob in leading short term mission trips and has been faithful to allow God to minister through her to women in Kazakhstan, Russia and India.

Tony and Judy WoodTony and Judy Wood have been with EWMI since 1993. Tony as Assistant Director of Training is involved in the training of pastors and church leaders focusing in Russia and Central Asia. Judy is the U.S. Coordinator for Russian Women's Ministries, equipping Russian women for ministry through Bible and ministry skills training, MOPs, and Pregnancy Resource Centers

Vicky MullinsVicki Mullins is the East-West Director of Orphan Ministry.  She leads short term mission trips to minister to orphans all over the world in an effort to reach out to children whose future is uncertain, and need to know the Hope of Christ.

David and Sharon WindleyDavid and Sharon Windley - David serves as Director of Short Term Mission Trips and Regional Director of the Caribbean for EWMI. Sharon serves on the Women’s Resource Team, assisting women locally and globally. 

John BruntonJohn Brunton has served with East-West for eight years. John currently serves as the Portland, Oregon Office Director and focuses on ministry in Russia and India.

Bill TaylorBill Taylor assists in recruiting and serving teachers for East-West's training centers in Russia and Central Asia, and in teaching and building centers in Russia, Central Asia, and Cambodia.  JoAnn jointly teams together with Bill primarily by under girding this in prayer and in working special projects.

 

Simpson FamilyTim and Theresa Simpson, along with their four children have lived in Almaty, Kazkhstan for the last eight years.  Tim is currently transitioning from his role as field director of Central Asia to being Strategic Coordinator of International Ministries.  Their family is looking forward to serving the many fields of East-West around the globe."

Lee and Jodi CapleLee and Jodi Caple serve as chaplains to both domestic and overseas based staff, by facilitating prayer events, retreats, support groups, and making overseas visits.

  Daniel EquiluzDaniel Eguiluz attends Dallas Theological Seminary working on a master’s degree in pastoral ministries and historical theology. Daniel's ministry goal is in the area of evangelism and teaching in Andalucía, Spain, under the guidance of East-West missionary Chris Matthews. 

Jenny SchindlerJenny Schindler serves as the field recruiting coordinator. She is mobilizing college students and young adults to mission opportunities, rallying the troops to engage in evangelism and be a blessing to the nations.
