See Yourself on the Field
One of the fastest ways to experience God’s heart for the nations is through short-term mission trips. If done well, these trips will pour gasoline on the flickering fires of a gospel movement … igniting a rapid spread of discipleship and church planting that holds the power to transform neighborhoods and nations.
As believers from the United States serve alongside national partners, the global Body of Christ is mutually encouraged. National partners laboring in places usually marked by persecution are spurred on to stand firm in their faith with brothers and sisters from faraway lands. Those who’ve taken flight to declare the gospel learn what sacrifice looks like on a new level.
The gospel is declared and hearts are transformed—both here and there.
Maybe you’ve personally experienced the impact of a short-term trip. Or maybe you want to for the first time. Today you can explore East-West’s weeklong opportunities to immerse yourself in ministry to the unreached.
And maybe you’ll see yourself in one of these distant places spreading the good news of Jesus.
Latin America
Spiritual confusion, poverty, and oppressive societies have long kept the gospel from advancing through Latin America. But the people are searching for hope.
Recognizing that their tribal religions and communist society cannot provide the answers they’re looking for, Latin Americans are seeking truth and finding it … in the gospel. The Church, fueled by the power of the gospel message, is advancing as nationals take up the cause of Christ.
See yourself walking the dusty streets of Latin America from one appointment to another to share the Name of Jesus to the oppressed and marginalized.
South Asia
As home to the densest pocket of unreached people groups in the world, South Asia is filled with people who have never heard the Name of Jesus. But the few local believers are bold and determined to go to every corner of their nations so that all may have the opportunity to hear and respond to Jesus’ message of grace and forgiveness.
It is here that East-West short-term missionaries get to link arms with these believers to share the gospel from cities to the uttermost remote locations … starting a chain of grassroots church planting movements throughout this spiritually dark region.
See yourself moving through dense city streets or lightly traffic mountain paths as God’s ambassador.
Greece
Greece is known for its gorgeous villas, crystal blue waters, friendly people, and delicious food. But in neighborhood parks, you’ll find thousands of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa who are seeking refuge, prosperity and a better life.
How often do you have the opportunity to openly discuss Jesus Christ with someone from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Iran or Libya? How often do you have the opportunity to meet dozens of non-believers from all over the world to share the gospel and plant seeds that may bear fruit for many generations?
See yourself engaging a different aspect of Greek culture as you tread the same streets as the Apostle Paul in search of people in need of the good news of Jesus Christ.
Norway
Norway is known for its breathtaking, dramatic landscapes, but its postmodern culture has led to great spiritual decay. Today, only 9% of this nation’s population identifies as evangelical Christian and large pockets of unreached Muslim people groups reside within the country’s borders.
It’s here—where people are seeking happiness through health and wealth—that you can play a part in pushing back the deceptive schemes of the enemy by reaching out to secularists and Muslim immigrants in search of people interested in talking about Jesus.
See yourself walking the brisk and scenic roads of Norway’s capitol as a messenger of the key to unlock lasting joy and happiness.
France
In the midst of Paris’ monuments, museums, cathedrals and cafes, spiritual darkness lurks after a hundred years of godlessness and an enormous influx of immigrants from Muslim countries.
But this global city is coming alive with ministry efforts to reach its people with the gospel message. Local churches and ministries, along with long-term missionaries and short-term teams, are daily sharing the message of Jesus on the bustling Parisian streets … and East-West has joined in this movement.
See yourself enjoying the French culture as you spend time in parks, sit in cafes, and meet the people of Paris who need to hear the life-giving message of the gospel.
Eurasia
Eurasia is rich in Christian history, but today Islam is the reigning religion of this unreached area. In a place once known as the center of Christendom, only a remnant of believers remains as heralds of the gospel.
You can join our frontline workers in searching for persons of peace who are interested in spiritual conversation in hopes of launching into conversations about Jesus that lead to a church planting movement of Muslim Background Believers.
See yourself in the shadows of mosques as a light for the gospel in this spiritually dark land.
Russia
Since the fall of the Iron Curtain, periods of unrest have changed the cultural landscapes of Russia and the Caucasus. A blend of cultures and false religions characterize these regions … resulting in a desperate need for Jesus Christ.
But despite the trials believers are facing, nationals are taking a stand for their countries … in the Caucasus and in Russia. A well-equipped team of nationals are passionate about reaching the lost and welcome the help of short-term missionaries in their work.
See yourself in the trenches of ministry with these believers to declare the living hope of Christ.
