Eric is the New York Times #1 best-selling author of several books, including Bonhoeffer, Seven Men, and Amazing Grace. His latest book, Martin Luther, was released in October 2017. Eric is also the host of the Eric Metaxas Show and was the keynote speaker at the 2012 National Prayer Breakfast.

As a longtime ministry partner, Eric has joined East-West in taking the gospel to the cultural elite of Eastern Europe on several short-term mission trips.

Phil is an award-winning singer and songwriter based out of San Diego, California. Since 2003, he has released nine full length albums featuring hit songs “Beautiful” and “This is Amazing Grace.” His latest album, Children of God, was released in 2016.

Phil has toured with Shane and Shane, MercyMe, Audio Adrenaline, and the David Crowder Band and continues touring globally, playing his original music to cultivate worship among the Body of Christ.

After years of ministry behind the Iron Curtain, John launched East-West Ministries International in 1993. Today John continues to provide spiritual encouragement to East-West staff, field workers, and advocates.

Kurt Nelson 
Chief Executive Officer

Kurt provides leadership and oversight to all worldwide ministry endeavors in the nearly 50 countries in which East-West currently operates and personally leads short-term mission trips around the world.

Mario Zandstra 
Former President

Mario helps to ensure financial stability and stewardship for the ministry and prayerfully casts vision for the future of East-West’s work in the spiritually darkest areas of the world.

Dave has spent the majority of his career teaching in a classroom or from a pulpit. Currently, he provides management and direction to the international field ministries and missionaries of East-West.

Kristen S.
Senior Vice President of Development

Kristen provides oversight and strategic direction to East-West’s development, marketing and communications departments. Previously, she served on the mission field across South America.

Cindy Brinker-Simmons
Event Co-Chair and East-West Board Member

Cindy is a principal with the Levenson Group and is devoted to philanthropy. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for East-West and Dallas Theological Seminary.

East-West Missionary

Rod and his wife, Margi, oversee our evangelism and discipleship program in the Middle East and are devoted to helping people recover from various addictions through their recovery home ministry.

Miriel N.
East-West Missionary

Miriel and her husband, Eduardo, are members of our U.S.-based Diaspora Team. Prior to moving to Dallas, they lived in Latin America where Miriel translated for our short-term mission trips and Eduardo served as a pastor.

Anam C. 
East-West Nation Partner in Southeast Asia

Anam and his wife, Eka, faithfully labor among the unreached in Southeast Asia. As part of their ministry, they’ve created businesses that give our missionaries long-term access to partner with them in church planting ministry.
